The
stock market has turned young investors into “overnight billionaires.
Amazingly it doesn’t seem to discriminate between experts in the trade
and rookies. What is more is that it looks like a fun way to make easy

The
stock market is not all that fun nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It
demands a lot of research as the investor weighs his decisions
carefully. One simple mistake could reduce an investor into a beggar on
the streets.
So what do investors who strike it rich at the stock market do differently? The answer lies in what they do every day when they set out to evaluate and analyze the stocks. The difference between those who make it and those who don’t is strategy and prudence.
The strategy that an investor adopts to help him select a winning stock is crucial but in most cases it depends on experience. Some investors buy stocks for long-term gains. They mainly achieve this by acquiring dividends over time. Other investors buy stocks when the price is low, hoping that the price will appreciate by the time they are ready to offload them.
Some successful investors, out of experience, are able to identify viable opportunities by going against the current. They detach themselves from the behavior displayed by majority of their fellow investors and move in the opposite direction doing what is the exact opposite.
This action is irrational but it could be a winning strategy if an investor has already identified an opportunity. The investors buy stocks when others are selling and they sell when others are buying. Here experience comes into play because such investors are able to point the motivation behind the lack of interest by other investors in general.

Investors, who identify companies that under-perform because no one else is interested in them, do end-up making huge profits or returning high on their investments.
Successful investors are also known to put enough emphasis on dividends. They might for instance, identify the top performing shares on the stock exchange in terms of dividends pay-out. They will also tell you that this is a very important measure of performance. These are normally very promising stocks that everyone expects to post good returns on investment. For this reason their market value keeps on appreciating.
Lastly these investors are always questioning the usefulness of a company in relation to their individual, overall interests. They are always looking for the slightest reason to dump a particular stock.
They monitor closely what a company is doing to add value to their investment on a daily basis. Successful companies and those that post impressive returns are the ones that work constantly to improve the shareholders’ value.
